A reputable Financial Institution (non-bank) is seeking to recruit qualified individuals to the following position:- Investigator

Duties

•   Visit loss/accident scenes to conduct investigation into loss incidents
•   Conduct investigations into the authenticity of police and medical reports, driver's licenses and ownership of vehicles
•   Conduct interviews and take statements from injured persons and claimants as well as suspects
•   visit police stations, hospitals and other locations to conduct investigations regarding theft, accident, injured cases and fraud
•   Prepare reports in respect of the aforementioned assignments for decision making
•   To perform any other duties that maybe assigned from time to time

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicant must:

•   Have a good first degree in Mathematics or the Social Sciences from a recognised University
•   A minimum of two (2) years experience in the field of investigations, fraud detection and loss prevention
•   Be between the ages of 25 to 40 years and be energetic

•   Have initiative and problem solving ability
•   Be able to work for long hours with little or no supervision
•   Be passionate about his job, be results oriented, possess a high level of professional and personal integrity
•   Be computer literate and have excellent data management skills
•   Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
•   Have the capacity to work under pressure and travel outside place of work on short notices
•   Have excellent report writing skills
•   Have a flair for investigations ie. investigative ability
•   Possess the desire to bring issues to its logical conclusion
•   Be highly analytical and thorough
•   Be highly proficient in two local languages

In-depth knowledge of fraud / criminal investigative procedures including interviewing, evidence collection and case management will be desirable
