Job Vacancy For Chief Medical Officer(CMO) At Sanford World Clinics (Accra, Ashanti Region and Central Region)
A reputable fast-growing NGO into Health in Greater Accra and Central Region now expanding to Ashanti Region is looking for results-oriented
Preamble
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is the senior physician in the clinic setting providing leadership to the medical staff in a management role. The daily management of care rests with the CMO. In addition, the CMO will provide direct patient care on a need/rotation basis. Brings energy, honesty and high ethical standards to the position. Portrays self in professional manner.
The CMO develops and maintains strategic relationships with key stakeholders in Ghana, GHS, regulatory bodies, councils, organisations and boards. Will represent SWC-G with global health organisations and NGOs. The CMO serves as the chief clinical spokesperson for SWC-G in public policy arena.
Duties & Responsibilities
• The Chief Medical Officer shall be responsible for the development of programmes, system and teams designed to ensure safe and quality medical care are being delivered by its medical prescribers and support staff, achieving cost effectiveness and standardisation of services.
• Responsible for clinical quality, patient safety and healthcare outcome standards, policy and protocols for all Sanford International Clinics-Ghana (SWC-G) facilities.
• Monitors and evaluates effectiveness of service provision
• Oversees the creation, development and patient safety initiatives
• Leads the development of new clinical service provision lines within SWC-G
• The CMO ensures compliance with all regulations governing health care delivery and rules of accrediting bodies.

• Will represent SIC-G with global health organisations and NGOs. The CMO serves as the Chief clinical spokensperson for SWC-G in public arena.
• The CMO reports to SWC-G Vice President
• Works in accordance with the GHS/NMC Code of professional conduct and disciplinary procedure. Strictly adheres to the provisions of the Patients charter. Participate in National Health Programmes
• The CMO ensures compliance with all regulations governing health care delivery and rules of accrediting bodies
• The CMO reports to SWC-Ghana Vice President
• Works in accordance with the GHS/NMC code of professional conduct and Disciplonary Procedure. Strictly adheres to the provisions of the Patients Charter. Participate in National Health Programmes

Qualification Required & Experience
• MB ChB/M.D or equivalent. Relevant clinical practice and leadership experience in a health system
• The CMO must have am advanced medical degree and seven to ten years of previous experience in management, medical administration or leadership roles in the health care profession.
• Demonstrated familiarity of medical staff organisation, credentialing, bylaws, rules, and regulations in Ghana
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in clinic creation and must not be more than sixty-five years
• Chief Medical Officer (CMO) must have an understanding of the dynamic challenges of the healthcare industry
Required Credentials (Licensure, Certification or Registration)
• Valid registration/licensing with the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana & current unrestricted license to practice medicine in Ghana.
Remuneration: Negotiable but very attractive
Location: Accra, Ashanti Region and Central Region
