Job Vacancy For Graphic Designer At Chemonics International
A short term consulting assignment exists for a Graphic Designer to support the communicators specialist to develop fliers, banners, posters, documents and communication materials in support of various APSP activities.
Illustrative Tasks Include:
• Consult with APSP's communication specialist to discuss the details of the design of APSP project banner, flyer, poster, document, etc required
• With the aid of appropriate software, design appropriate software, design appropriate banners, flyers, document and materials for occasions as will be requested by the communications specialist
• Using information provided by communications specialist and technical team, develop graphics to brand project stationery according to USAID branding guidelines. This may sometimes require coordinating printing with an outside vendor
• Review and format reports ensuring that documents meet professional graphics requirements for publication
Qualification Required & Experience
• Knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design
• Demonstrate past experience of graphic materials using a range of media, methods, techniques and equipment
• Ability to use the following design technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as InDesign, OuarkXPress, Photoshop, 3Ds Max, Acrobat, Director, Dreamweaver and Flash
• Previous experience with a USAID project is desirable
Type and Duration of Assignment
• Various consulting assignments fot a total of 25 days over 6 months, starting on or about January 5, 2015. Note that this is not a full time position and assignments will be awarded on a need basis.
