Job Vacancy For Workshop Supervisor
We are well-respected, fully authorized dealer of new coaches, construction equipment (earth moving equipment) and generators of all sizes. We also maintain the capability to provide genuine spare parts and comprehensive after sales service of the range of products we deal in. Additionally we provide servicing packages for other brands of vehicles in our product range, enabling our customers to focus their strengths on their core businesses. We also provide hiring and rental services of our range of equipment to clients.
Objective
• Direction of the work on the shop floor, proper allocation of work and oversight of various assignments of produce desired results within set time limits or parameters
Job Knowledge
• Develop, deploy and ensure compliance with workshop management procedures to maintain the efficiency and value of the maintenance services provided by the workshop
• Plan, liaise with the service advisors weekly to confirm the status of truck availability and prioritise works to ensure service is delivered on time and to the required standard, taking into account lead times for parts, labour hours required & transportation to site
• Ensure that all trucks are efficiently serviced and repaired within the manufacturer's recommendations and that all activities relating to the service and maintenance of trucks, charging of labour to projects, and recharges are raised, processed accurately and closed daily
• Constantly review the workshop runing costs and identify opportunities for reducing or recharging workshop costs
• Utilising the life to date reports to make recommendations to the manager as to each tool/equipments future e.g disposal or upgrade and make recommendations for improvements or additions where necessary
• Stock appropriate levels of critical and consumable spares required to maintain the efficiency of the trucks that visit the workshop
Qualification Required & Experience
• HND or Higher qualification in Mechanical engineering or related field
• 5 years minimum experience as a Technician/Mechanic in supervisory capacity
• Experience in plant hire or construction industry with a proactive approach to work
