A leading integrated agro-industrial company is looking to recruit an ESTATE DIVISIONAL HEAD.

Primary Objective
Ensure effective management of a division within a plantation of 4500 hectare of Oil Palm

Key Responsibilities

•   Provide assistance to the Estate Manager in the following areas:
•   Supervise and monitor diligently all activities within an assigned division of the Estate which include among other things:
•   Land clearing, new development and replacement planting
•   Plantation maintenance-slashing, weeding, brushing, pruning and fertilizer application.
•   Harvesting and collection
•   Production census/ leaf sampling
•   Integrated Pest Management
•   Comply with all operational standards
•   Prepare daily work schedule, weekly and monthly reports
•   Maintain and check labour records .?, Maintain field history books
•   Ensure strict adherence to safety practices
•   Ensure compliance with RSPO and EHS principles
•   Responsible for the management of filed headmen, overseers and other field officers for efficient output.

Reports to:  Chief Agricultural Officer
Duty Station: Kwae near Kade in the Eastern Region
Remuneration: An attractive package awaits successful candidates.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   BSc. in Agricultural Science with at least three years practical experience in relevant field.

Knowledge. Skills and Abilities:

•   Strong work ethics, excellent communication, organisational and time management skill
•   Be a strong problem solver
•   Ability to work in high pressure environment
•   Good knowledge of use of computer
•   Good knowledge of oral and written English and Twi
•   Ability to supervise and work with teams
•   Must be safety conscious
•   Good team leader, highly motivated and results oriented
