A fast growing reputable Non-Banking Finance Institution invites applications from highly motivated, innovative and dynamic person to fill the position of:- Head of Credit

Job Summary

•   Plan and develop policies and procedures to guide credit processing, credit administration and credit risk management of the company

Duties and Responsibilities

•   Initiate policies and procedures on credit processing, credit administration and credit risk management of the company
•   Assess credit applications and process them for consideration by the credit committee
•   Collaborate with Marketing and Business development department for prospecting for customers
•   Monitor accounts of credit customers to ensure regular payments of loans granted
•   Conduct background investigations into the character and credit worthiness of credit applicants
•   Liase with Divisional Head-Credits to organise credit committee and loan/advances review committee meetings
•   Liase with legal and loans recovery department to ensure that documents submitted as collateral for credit authentic and meet relevant legal requirements
•   Liase with Divisional Head Credits to prepare and submit periodic reports in accordance with Bank of Ghana Requirements
•   Supervise the work of Credits Executives
•   Conduct staff appraisal of subordinate staff

Qualification Required & Experience

•   First degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Civil Engineering or professional qualification Accounting or Finance with 5 years (5) post qualification relevant working experience. Knowledge in Marketign and Law is an advantage

OR

•   Masters Degree in Finance, Marketing, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or professional qualification in Law with three (3) years post qualification relevant experience
•   Proficiency in computer software, including word processing, spreadsheet, finance and presentation applications, accounting and credit management software etc

Work-based competencies

•   Knowledge of Banking/Non-Banking Operations
•   Good Marketign and Sales promotions
•   Knowledge in Financial Management
