The African University College of Communications (AUCC) is seeking a Finance Officer to join our finance and accounting team.

Job Summary

The individual will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

•   Managing all aspects of accounting and finance of the institution
•   Keeping strong financial processes and controls on all operations
•   Assisting in the preparation of financial plans, forecasts and budgets
•   Maintaining financial records in accordance with AUCC accounting policy
•   Leading and supervising activities of other accounting staff
•   Serve as a liaison to both internal and external Auditors

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Master's degree in Finance or accounting from an accredited college or university
•   Minimum of five years of progressive financial management reporting experience
•   Professional qualification / certification in accounting (ICA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, etc)
•   Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Pastel and other data modeling tools
•   Tenacious with strong analytical, problem-solving skills
•   Proficiency in interpreting financial statements
•   Experience in a higher education setting with a multiple-campus environment
•   Ability to appropriately handle confidential corporate information
