A Non – Bank Financial Services Company has vacancies for highly motivated individuals with high integrity and a passion to succeed for hiring as Asset Finance ( Vehicle Lease )Technical and Inspection Officer

Purpose of the Job

To undertake technical appraisal of assets to be purchased for lease / loan customers and to do post – disbursement inspection of the conditions of such assets for the purpose of advising management and company customers on the appropriate decisions to make.

Key Accountabilities:
Pre-purchase appraisal of assets

•   Check the strength of assets and assets parts against pre- defined criteria to determine if they meet the purchasing requirements of the company and our customers
•   Advise management and company suppliers, where necessary, to undertake repair works on assets prior to the conclusion of a purchase agreement
•   Inspect works done by service providers of the company to ensure that they meet our demands and best practices

Post- disbursement inspections and assets maintenance

•   Conduct periodic inspection of the condition of assets and advise customers and management on the necessary action to take.
•   Ensure that customers adhere to strict maintenance of assets under their control
•   Pre-certify customer’s request for funds for maintenance of assets ( final approval is given by the supervisor)
•   Assist in the evaluation of assets or asset parts for the purposes of auctioning or sale

Portfolio and recovery management
Assist in portfolio and delinquency management including field monitoring and immobilization / confiscation of assets

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of a high school certificate or a Diploma I Engineering( Auto Mechanic) will be an advantage

Knowledge and Experience
Trained Auto Mechanic with at least three years’ experience

Competencies Required (Skills & Abilities)

To perform this function to the expected level, you will be required to demonstrate the following competencies

•   Ability to drive a vehicle
•   Must possess a valid driver’s license
•   Must have thorough knowledge of of vehicles and vehicle parts
•   You must be well organised, with keen attention to details
•   Skilled in computer software usage and ability to write simple reports
•   High level of personal integrity
•   A good team player, hardworking and ability to manager yourself
