Databank Brokerage Ltd (DBL) is the leading Brokerage Firm in Ghana with a significant share of the Brokerage business in Ghana.  We are looking for a senior sales trader who is an Authorized Dealing Officer (ADO) of the Ghana Stock Exchange to join our team.

Job Purpose & Summary:

The successful candidate will provide leadership to execute competitive strategies of the equities trading unit as the market leader in securities trading.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

•   Develop and lead the implementation of strategies to grow the company’s portfolio of institutional clients.
•   Manage the securities trading needs of Non-resident Foreign Institutional Investors (NRFIs) and International Partner Brokers (IPBs) on a daily basis.
•   Train and develop the required capabilities of the sales traders in the key requirements of their job.
•   Develop new products or services to support the securities trading needs of NRFIs and IPBs.
•   Efficiently work with regulatory institutions, custodians banks to serve the trading activities of NRFIs and IPBs of DBL.
•   Other assignments as directed by the Head of Brokerage.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of a Master’s Degree (Merit) in any discipline from a recognized University.   Specialization in Economics or Finance will be an advantage.
•   Must be an Authorized Dealing Officer (ADO) of the Ghana Stock Exchange.

•   Basic Financial Analysis skills (Advanced skills in Financial Modeling will be an advantage)
•   Information Technology skills: (i) Well versed in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); (ii) Use of Web browsers and web-based application will be an advantage; (iii) Experience in the use of Oracle® based applications and (iv) Experience in the use of  Reuters Eikon or Bloomberg Professional will be an added advantage.

Experience

•   At least 3 years’ experience as an Authorized Dealing Officer (ADO).
