Excel Bit Com Ltd is scale up into large scale commercial production of  Rice, Soy and Maize Value-Chain Crops and requires the services of  five Business Development Officers to develop and manage 300 acres Nucleus Farms and 500 Smallholder farmers producing Rice Soy and Maize per officer.

Job Responsibilities:

You will be required to support the Business Development Manager to ensure that effective Policies, Strategies, Service and marketing Plans, Risk Management information management are developed on the three Value-Chain Crops (Maize, Soy and Rice).

Your role will include but not limited to:

•   To develop 500 enterprises of smallholder farmers into FBOs at the community level,
•   Application of Best practice modern technology for production and post harvest management
•   Special Projects development and direct implementation and management of smallholder farmers and ensure results.
•   Lead in the implementation of the company program and strategies in developing Nucleus Farms for Three Value Chain Crops
•   Recruit and train a minimum of 500 farmers FBOs to produce maize, soybean and rice
•   Ensure total recovery of credit to farmers within the operational area and ensure high level of confidentiality and respect for farmers.
•   Train, assist and ensure that farmers process high quality grains to company specification
•   Train and support farmers to apply best agronomy practices to improve yields in productions and harvesting
•   Lead in the purchases of grains from farmers within your operational area while ensuring storage and quality of the products.
 
Qualification Required & Experience

•   Must hold a BSc. in Agronomy or Agric Economics
•   Must be prepared to work long hours and in rural areas.
•   Must have five years working experience in crop production and Smallholder farmer groups management
•   Must Possess a Valid Driver License
•   Must be a Team Player
