Job Vacancy For Head Of Finance (Tema)



A reputable organization ion the maritime industry seeks a dynamic and results-oriented finance professional with extensive experience in corporate finance and transaction services.

Key Responsibilities

•   Provide and interpret financial information (monthly accounts, cost accounts etc)
•   Monitor and interpret cash flows and predict future trends
•   Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
•   Manage budgets
•   Manage company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
•   Liaise with auditors, bankers, tax authorities etc
•   Manage a team of finance staff (revenue, expenditure, treasury, payroll)
•   Oversee credit control processes
•   Develop financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk
•   Lead, train and motivate staff within the finance department
•   Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
•   Take part in training and development activities
•   Promote and adhere to the organisations culture and values
•   Undertake any other duties commensurate with this role

Qualification Required & Experience

The successful candidate should possess the following characteristics and skills

•   Good understanding of tax and statutory requirements
•   Member of a recognised professional Body preferably ACCA-UK,ICAG or CIMA and a good first degree from a reputable Tertiary Institution
•   Possess strong leadership and motivational skills
•   Equipped with strong analytical, modeling and commercial reporting skills
•   Superb verbal and written communication skills
•   Must possess problems solving capabilities, leadership skills, Flexsible but decisive, and Planning & Evaluating skills

Experience

•   A minimum of 7 years experience in finance management in a large corporate organisation
•   Proficient in MS Office
•   Proficient in SAGE PASTEL
•   Strong commitment excellence
