Description Of Job
CARE seeks a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (M&ES) for an upcoming, four (4) year program in Ghana. This project has a heavy focus on providing technical expertise in scaling up the National Literacy Acceleration Program (NALAP) which uses the mother tongue to teach reading skills to early primary students.
The project aims to improve reading skills in 2 million primary students by 2016.
SUMMARY
• The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (M&ES) will have primary responsibility to develop and implement monitoring, evaluation and research activities for all components of the project.
• The candidate should have both strong qualitative and quantitative evaluation skills, and significant experience with multiple types of evaluations – impact evaluations, process evaluations, formative evaluations etc.
Qualification Required & Experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 10 years relevant experience in project and program evaluation, research and survey implementation.
• At least 2 years experience on a large international project.
• PhD in Evaluation, Measurement, Statistics or other related fields such as Education is desired.
• Fluency in English
