A reputable banking and financial services training, consultancy and research institution is seeking to engage the services of Internal Auditor.

Job Profile & Description

The Internal Auditor has the responsibility to scrutinize books of the institution as well as its financial management process. The auditor has to make sure that the processes and procedures are in compliance with ethical standards, legal statutes and corporate policies.

Duties and Responsibilities

•   Evaluate and examine policies, procedures and systems in the institution
•   Review the policy and procedures compliance in the institution
•   Conduct regular audits of financial controls and management systems to evaluate the integrity and reliability of information and financial reports
•   Identify data errors, unaccountable transactions, faulty or inefficient processes and make recommendations for corrective action
•   Communicate to management audit findings and explore suitable solutions
•   Be part of the internal control development initiatives
•   Ensure procedures and practices relating to procurement and other expenditure outlays provide value for money

Skills and specification

•   Detailed oriented, conscientious, ethical and self-driven
•   Team working spirit with the interpersonal skills to establish and maintain the required effective working relationship
•   Good communication and report writing skills
•   Practical knowledge in Sage 300 (Accpac Accounting Software)

Qualification Required & Experience

•   First Degree in Accounting or related discipline plus professional qualification in accountancy
•   3 - 5 years auditing experience. Working experience in an auditing firm shall be an added advantage

Age: Between 35 - 45 years
