Job Vacancy For Director, Supply Chain Management



Position Summary:

•   Responsible for the assessment and oversight in conjunction with the SIC-Ghana Vice President of Operations or SIC-Ghana Finance Director, the coordination of hospital & clinic supply chain management operations and services in Sanford International Clinics - Ghana.
•   Serves as liaison between system and network / clinic logistical operations.
•   Provides technical assistance and guidance to identify and implement non-salary expense reduction programs.
•   Works closely with Network and Clinic leadership and clinical leaders to influence purchasing, inventory, and operational decisions.
•   Responsible for all SIC-G procurement across departments and Clinics
•   Responsible for procurement, transportation and distribution of inventories to all SIC-G sites in a timely manner.
•   Serves as technical and process expert in development and implementation of Supply Chain Management information system, operational efficiencies, new member set up, and inventory management.
•   Responsible for development and system integrated Materials Disaster Plan.
•   May be asked to participate in interviews, hiring process, staff evaluations based on reporting structure established by local administration and SIC-Ghana leadership
•   Responsible for the timely purchasing and just in time inventory management of SIC-G
•   Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.

Employment Variables:

•   Work hours may include day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
•   Required to travel to off-site locations.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or purchasing and supply with 2-5 years of experience in the health care industry.
•   Strong organizational and persuasive skills
•   Thorough knowledge of procurement, inventory management, warehousing, contracting, and distribution required.
•   Able to apply leadership, personnel management, and influence over staff and systems outside of direct reporting relationships.
•   Extensive understanding of process improvement, LEAN principles, and change management. Leads SCM Network meetings.
•   Understanding of NHIA and PMHI reimbursement.
•   Experience in managing and successfully completing complex and expansive projects
•   Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to obtain support from all levels of the organization including system and network executive management, directors, medical and clinical staff.

Required Credentials (Licensure, Certification, or Registration):

•   As required by licensure.
•   Must have current driver’s license.
