Job Title: Principal Auditor

Job Purpose

•   Lead audit teams in the adsence of the team leader
•   Provide inputs for the preparation of audit strategies and programmes as well as manage the execution of audit engagements
•   Ensure that requirements of quality assurance and review are met through the first stage review
•   Collaborate with team leader in the review and evaluation of the system of management controls and assess their effectiveness
•   Maintain adequate working paper files for review
•   Prepare audit observations
•   Collaborate with the team leader to draft audit reports
•   Supervise the work of subordinates and ensure that tasks are accomplished to meet deadlines.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A member of the ICA(GH) or a professionally recognised accounting body and
•   A minimum of a relevant bachelor's degree from an accredited tertiary institution
•   A minimum of seven (7) years post qualification with relevant working experience in accounting or auditing in a reputable organisation
•   A master's degree would be an added advantage

•   Presentation, negotiating, lobbying and conflict resolution skills
•   Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
•   Communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
•   Knowledge in auditing standards
•   Knowledge of public financial management systems
•   Knowledge in industrial and labour relations
•   Knowledge of relevant computer applications
