Description Of Job

Our client requires a Maintenance Supervisor to  ensure the safety, efficient and compliance of offshore well site operations through the proper oversight of maintenance processes. Our client is a leader in the Oil & Gas sector with representation throughout the world. The position is based in Takoradi, Ghana.

Responsibilities include:

•  Ensures compliance of maintenance functions at the field level with all applicable policies, standards and regulations.
•  Maintains a safe workplace through cleanliness, usage of protective equipment, ensuring appropriate equipment usage practices, and  best practices in equipment maintenance.
•  Makes sure that all risks are assessed before undertaking any activity.
•  Allocates, prioritizes and communicates tasks to maintenance team members.
•  Plans and coordinates routine maintenance procedures.
•  Utilizes standard equipment maintenance methodology  to maintain company equipment.
•  Ensures the required documentation and reporting procedures are followed when undertaking any work or project, including computer based systems.
•  Routinely assessing the needs of other departments and creates work plans to meet them.
•  Performs impromptu inspections and audits of maintenance work to ensure that work quality standards are being met.
•  Ensures that the personnel he supervises are trained and equipped and is responsible for their safety.
•  Participates in the hiring of new team members and the evaluation of current personnel.
•  Actively participates in all QHSE processes and initiatives.
•  Undertakes frequent inspections of well site equipment, its usage and performance including trouble shooting issues and failures.
•  Prepares and handles expense budget and parts inventory for maintenance purposes.
•  Stays up-to-date with best maintenance and equipment practices.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Diploma, Associate, HND or higher degree in related field.
•  7+ years experience in Oil & Gas or Mining operations maintenance.
•  Knowledge of planned preventive maintenance.
•  Practical knowledge of upstream Oil and Gas service technologies.
•  Must possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
