Job Summary

Alubond West Africa Limited is looking for an experienced and qualified candidate to occupy a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator position for  Aluminium, Glass Curtain Wall and Alubond  ACP division.

Duties and Responsibilities

•   Quantity Survey and rating scope of works by  gathering proposals, Architectural drawings, blueprints, specifications, and  related  documents.
•   Preparing quantity take-off and bills of quantities (BOQ) in coordination with the architect, structural engineer and with the Client if required.
•   Prepare various Quantity Surveying documents including budgetary estimates from sketch/ drawings, Bill of Quantities for all disciplines and Costs Estimates.
•   Understanding drawings and computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
•   Performing value engineering techniques and Project cost control.
•   Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
•   Liaise with Sales Managers and attend Tender procedures and prepare Tender Reports.
•   Provide assistance to Operations/Project managers   on contractual issues.
•   Evaluate variations and handle contractual correspondences.
•   Prepare variation orders through site visits to record information on claims/variations.
•   Prepare evaluations/ cost projections of the assignment to meet requirements of works in progress.
•   Perform cost analysis and draw up reports on changes to works and contractor’s claims.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Experience: a minimum of 3yrs in a related position (Relevant experience in facades is preferred)
•   Qualification: BSC/ HND Building Technology/ Quantity Surveying or related discipline
