Job Vacancy For Finance Manager – Quarry Operations (Brong Ahafo region)



A fast growing group of companies operating a diverse stream of business spanning environmental management and safety, energy, mining, construction, financial services, logistics and supply chain etc with clear footprints in Ghana and the Africa region, is looking for qualified professionals with strong entrepreneurial orientation to join its team in Ghana in the following senior level position:- Finance Manager - Quarry Operations

Job Summary

You will report to the General Maanger and be responsible for:

•   Preparing financial budgets, maintain and prepare variance analysis of revenue and expenditure against budget
•   Undertaking daily monitoring of all system accounts (E.g General Ledger, Fixed Assets Register, Debtor's creditor's accounts to ensure accurate balances
•   Monitoring and updating cash and bank book balances whilst preparing periodic casl flow statements for review/approval by the General Manager
•   Vetting invoices, claims, advances, wages, salaries and approve bills within limits to ensure consistency with laid down company and group policies
•   Developing effective accounting system for the management of procurement/stores for the quarry
•   Prepare periodic bank reconciliation statements
•   Maintain good working relationships with external auditors, regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders in the area of financial management
•   Manage an efficient team of finance professionals capable of delivering excellent results
•   Prepare and submit monthly and periodic financials and other reports to the Group Office
•   Maintain proper books / record of financial and other transactions
•   Perform reconciliation of significant account balance and maintain such reconciliation for internal and external audit purposes.

Qualification Required & Experience

As a minimum, the ideal candidate must have:

•   MBA in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or ACCA, CIMA or ICA with five(5) year's relevant professional experience with at least 3 years in a similar management position
•   Knowledge of the international financial reporting system (IFRS), Accounting & auditing standards and related regulations
•   Strong leadership and negotiation skills
•   Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Considerable knowledge/understanding of tax laws and related regulations
•   Great deal of attention to details
•   Good analytical skills
•   Be self-motivated and able to communicate effectively at all levels both within and outside the country
•   Knowledge of Microsoft Office suites with strong functionality skills in Excel and other accounting software and tools
