An agro-processing company in the Western Region that is involved in the cultivation of oil palm and the processing of palm oil and palm kernel oil invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacancy:- Technical Manager

Key Responsibilities

•   Will be generally responsible for the efficient planning and implementation of all activities at the maintenance section to provide the needed timely support to production, transport and other departments
•   Be proactive and monitor to ensure that plant and machinery operate in improved working conditions under environmentally responsible manner
•   Provide appropriate technical advice and engineering inputs as required by management and board to formulate policies.
•   Provide oversight over technical stores and ensure that all equipments and materials are safeguards

Core Competencies

•   Good working knowledge of industrial plant installation, maintenance of oil palm (or similar agro) processing machines and equipments
•   Wide exposure to health safety and environmental issues at industrial level
•   Good analytical, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, computer literacy
•   Capacity to work under pressure in deprived environment

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A good first degree in Mechanical Engineering (Plant) from a recognised institution with a least two 2 years working experience in agro processing or related industry or HND Mechanical Engineering (Plant) with a minimum of ten(10) years industry working experience part of which must have been in managerial position.
