Job Vacancy For Coordinating Director
A reputable research and public oversight organisation in Ghana's oil and gas sector invites applications for employment for the above listed position:
Job Purpose:
• Provide general leadership to the organization's secretariat to enable it deliver its mandate effectively.
• The Coordinating Director shall build alliances with various stakeholders, such as Government, Development Partners, Civil Society and Private Institutions.
Main Duties:
Programme design and Implementation
• Lead the designing, planning and implementation of organization's programmes and projects in consultation with leadership and members Oversee the successful implementation of all the organisation's program
• Submit timely reports on a routine basis and as required in accordance with commitments to government and donors.
Planning and Budgeting
• Lead in fund raising for the organisation to supplement funds
• Lead the Secretariat Team to deliver timely and informative reports to donors
Research and development
• Maintain contacts with the relevant ministries, departments and agencies and other sources of information to facilitate quick access to data
• Oversee the setting up of processes for the regular collection of data and information needed for planning
• Oversee and ensure the Preparation of the organisation's reports
• Provide quality assurance to ensure that all reports meet acceptable standards
Communication and media relations
• Develop and maintain good links with the media and key stakeholders of the organization
• Ensure the development and implementation of a Communication Strategy for the organisation
• Oversee information systems and technology, including regularly updating the organisation's website
Human Resource Management
• Serve as the liaison between the organisation and secretariat Staff
• Manage and supervise secretariat staff
• Ensure adequate pollcies and procedures are in place to guide personnel issues, culture and organisational values in the organisation.
Qualification Required & Experience
• A Master's Degree in Oil and Gas Management or Petroleum Economics/ Masters in Law or a Masters degree in any relevant social sciences
• + 5 years' relevant experience;
• Extensive experience in research, Proven ability in fundraising and a good understanding of the legal framework of Ghana's petroleum sector
• Experience in grant management
• Good communications skills - both written and oral
• Strong English language skills required
• Strong IT Skills
