A leading Oil Marketing Company (OMC) in Ghana is looking for a suitably qualified person to fill the position of:- Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

•   Ensure regular maintenance of all company network infrastructure, including filling stations, head office infrastructure, regional offices and consumer installations to keep them in good condition
•   Supervise construction of new filling stations, including permit acquisitions, forecourt designs. monitoring and reporting on progress of work until commissioning of projects
•   Carry out measurement and evaluation of construction works and initiate payment to contractors who have done satisfactory work
•   Maintain up to date records of expenditure on all projects undertaken by the company to ensure that projects are carried out within specified budgets
•   See to it that all Bulk Road Vehicles (BRVs) and underground tanks are calibrated or re-calibrated and undertake pre-certification inspection to ensure that all BRVs and underground tanks meet the required standards
•   Monitor movement of products to ensure that they are delivered to their designated locations according to specifications
•   Keep up to date inventory of all company vehicles, generators, pumps and other equipments and ensure that they are in good working conditions all the time.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in either Civil Engineering or Building Technology from a reputable institution. A professional qualification in Project Management is an advantage
•   Should have the ability to measure and value construction and maintenance work, and must be capable of undertaking basic architectural drawings
•   Must have a working knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel, AutoCAD or other related software applications for drawings
•   Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be able to relate to people across cultures
•   Must possess a valid driving license and be prepared to travel extensively within a short notice
•   Should have extensive knowledge in the downstream petroleum sector with a minimum of ten years working experience in similar role.
