Job Title: Project Manager

Project Manager reports to the Regional Head Of Projects, Africa with Assistant Project Manager as a direct report.

Description Of Job

The Job Holder is reponsible for the delivery of Cress fit-out and construction projects, providing best in class construction project management capability to the Bank working in collaboration with approved consultants, advisors and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

•  Detemine & manage relevant resources to deliver project workload, including alignment across SCB CRES functional workstreams (Finance, PMM, Security, Workplace Effectiveness, OHS & E, FM, Asset Management, IT etc)
•  Provide regular country project portfolio reports to functional regional leads, using SCB standard formats
•  Manage business expectations prior to project approval to ensure alignment with Bank Real Estate Strategies
•  Manage successful delivery of projects to a pre-determined brief, budget, programme and SCB specifications.
•  Enable effective communications between the project team and the client
•  Co-ordinate effective and efficient participation of all key project stakeholders
•  Provide mechanisms for monitoring and tracking progress regarding schedule, budget and technical performance.
•  Implement value-engineering processes and ensure alignment with SCB GOWS & Engineering Standards
•  Manage an effective change management system to track all changes from agreed brief.
•  Implement a comprehensive project reporting structure to disseminate all information in a timely manner at all parties
•  Project responsibility on all matters relating to site Health and Safety.
•  Manage project close out procedures ensuring all defects have been attended to.
•  Other duties as directed.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

What type and length of training and experience do you consider as requirements for someone to perform the duties assigned to your position?

•  Have attain undergraduate degree level in a construction related subject.
•  Ideally to have worked for a Real Estate Service provider, Real Estate consultant (Architect, M&E etc) and/or contractor and/or has been site based, 5-10 years experience
•  Experience of managing projects of a value up to US$5m
