1. Mine Maintenance Superintendent

Job Summary

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate shall be responsible for implementing all mine maintenance programmes to ensure maximum availability / reliability of mobile equipment for mine operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

. Responsible for safe and efficient execution of all GSWL mine Maintenance activities
. Initiate, implement and manage maintenance programmes based on best practices with an emphasis on planning / scheduling and preventive maintenance.
. Ensures that schedules and objectives are attained for corrective and preventive maintenance.
. Ensure that maintenance personnel are adequately trained, equipped and well motivated to ensure that maintenance activities are accomplished in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.
. Analyze reports data, make recommendations for improvements in operations and provide solutions to maintenance related problems.
. Ensure that subordinated are clearly directed in their roles and accountabilities through regular discussions and review.
. Ensure that safely considerations are first and foremost in planning and organizing work processes

Qualifications and Required Competencies

. Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or its Equivalent from a recognized institution.
. At least 5 years experience in all aspects if open pit mobile equipment
. Proficiency in planning and maintenance scheduling.
. Excellent skills in job analysis and report writing.
. Excellent people management and development skills.
. Knowledgeable in computerized maintenance systems.
. Ability to sequence and schedule complex interrelated activities.
. Good communications skills
. Ability to develop and maintain productive and cooperative working relationship with all levels of staff.

2. Mine Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary

Reporting to the maintenance superintendent, the successful candidate shall be responsible for providing leadership to mine Maintenance crew to ensure maximum availability / reliability of mobile equipment for mine operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

. Responsible for the safe  and efficient maintenance of all GSWL Wassa mining equipment and subcontractor equipment at the Wassa mine, and as directed by the Mine Maintenance Superintendent.
. Ensure that subordinates are clearly directed in their roles and accountabilities through regular discussions and review.
. Ensure that safety considerations are first and foremost in planning and organizing work processes

Qualifications and Required Competencies

. Tertiary and Trade qualifications in Mechanical maintenance
. Extensive experience in large open cut mines.
. Experience in Heavy Earth moving Equipment maintenance, preferably Caterpillar & Liebherr, and sound knowledge with hydraulics & auto electrics
. Driver's License is essential.
. Excellent Supervision and high standard of interpersonal skills.
. A High standard of written & Verbal communication skills.
