Job Vacancy For Communications and Admissions Officer At Morgan International Community School (Central Region)



Purpose of Job

•   The Communication and Admissions Officer reports to the Director of Admission & Development.
•   The Communication Officer will work with the Director on all aspects of a strategic, data-based program for marketing, recruitment and enrollment of qualified students at the school.
•   The Communication Officer plays an important role in providing clear and consistent branding of the school.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant experience in marketing or customer service
•   The Communication Officer will work with the Director on all aspects of a strategic, data-based program for marketing, recruitment and enrollment of qualified students at the school.
•   The Communication Officer plays an important role in providing clear and consistent branding of the school.

Experience

•   experience with production of a variety of media particularly print publications
•   experience working in a school is a plus
•   experience with Microsoft office suite; and database programs
•   experience in a goal oriented environment a plus
•   previous experience in admissions
•   experience in marketing and sales a plus
•   to be able to type

Special Requirements

•   ability to work extended hours, especially during peak times of the admissions cycle
•   Potential candidates must provide evidence that a criminal history check has been conducted and clearance has been given.

Key Outputs

Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

Communication & Marketing

•   To present the school to prospective students and parents, which includes systematic and efficient handling of applications and communication with candidates and their parents; interviews with candidates and their parents; arrangements for admissions testing; securing of necessary student credentials; and communicating final decisions to the appropriate individuals;
•   To be first point of contact for inquiries and visitors.
•   To plan and execute programs that enhance public perception of the school;
•   Press releases on events, oversight of the web site and day to day contact with the news media and social media;
•   To identify emerging marketing strategies and test their effectiveness and report on their results;
•   To design and place ads for recruitment
•   To oversee publications
•   assist in the development, maintenance and execution of the department's communication plan to prospective and admitted students

Admissions

•   research lost constituents
•   fielding admissions calls/conducting telephone interviews with prospective students
•   maintaining data in the inquiries data base
•   coordinating admissions materials
•   assisting in the preparation of admissions events, including open houses
•   processing applications in collaboration with Admission Team
•   provide information regarding programs offered at the school
•   create and maintain a data-base of school contacts for prospective enrolment
•   prepare admission files for all applicants and communicate status of all admissions
•   prepare media kits for distribution
