Job Vacancy For Head Chef
A newly established, reputable, four star hotel in one of the southern regional capitals of Ghana requires the urgent services of the following:- Head Chef
Job Position: Head Chef Code: (H/P004)
Duties/Responsibilities
Major duties of the Head Chef shall include but not limited to the following:
• Manage, Supervise and participate in the preparation of food for all Food & Beverage outlets
• Assist with developing new menus based on food trends, regional tastes and client request
• Track food costs and assist in the development of departmental budgets
• Ensure implementation of effective cost controls without compromising standards of service
• Set and review departmental objectives and provide performance feedback through appraisal process and job chats
• Ensure awareness and compliance with all Health & Safety work practices
Qualification Required & Experience
• Degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major, 2 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area or
• HND from an accredited institution in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major, 4 years experience in the culinary food and beverage or related professional area
• Excellent personal presentation as well as high level of written & verbal business English
• Ability to effectively deal with require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy
• Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
