A leading financial institution seeks to fill some vacancy and invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following position:- Head, Credit Analysis

Reports to Branch Manager

Main Responsibilities include

•   Providing support for the market facing SBUs with the aim of ensuring that quality risk assets are booked in line with the Bank's portfolio plan, credit policy and external regulatory guidance
•   Conducting detailed credit analysis of request and making recommendations as appropriate for consideration
•   Checking that all required documentations are covered in the Relationships Manager's credit request packaging whilst ensuring that appropriate due diligence are performed
•   Providing advisory services to relationship managers on credit-related transactions and issues
•   Evaluating and recommending (as appropriate) appointment of independent Project Consultants, Warehousing Agent for approval
•   Timely/accurate preparation of executive summary in respect of application for the consideration of the Management credit Committee (MCC), Board Credit Committee (BCC) and Board of Directors (BOD)

Qualification Required & Experience

•   First Degree in any discipline. The ideal candidate should be numerate and be computer literate. Post graduate degrees and professional certifications will be an added advantage

Experience

•   Minimum of 5 years experience in credit analysis in a Financial institution

Relevant Skills / Competencies

•   Good reasoning and analytical skills
•   Ability to take constructive and productive initiatives in the midst of laid down rules and policies
•   Giving prompt attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
•   Good communicating skills (verbal and written) with clarity of intention and purpose
