The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG) is an NGO and a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), and a leading provider of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information and services.

Job Summary

The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), hereby invites result - oriented and committed persons to apply for the position of Community Health Nurses, in the Association.

Purpose of the Position

To provide effective and  quality services to clients at the clinics and in the communities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

•   Ensures effective and efficient provision of clinical services and service delivery
•   Ensures effective infection control
•   Ensures that clients and providers rights are adhered to
•   Provides counseling in HIV/AIDS and management of STIs
•   Provide safe FP methods and counseling of clients
•   Prepares monthly commodity tracking reports
•   Assist in training youth facilitators and Peer Educators in SRHR
•   Assist Midwife in performing clinic duties
•   Prepare and follow an effective referral system, where necessary
•   Liaises  with Midwife to ensure that clinical standards are adhered to
•   Undertake basic clients oriented research
•   Conduct home visit/ follow up of clients

•   The position is based in Accra, Kumasi, Techiman, CapeCoast and Kparigu
•   The position comes with an attractive salary
•   S/He reports to the Quality of Care Coordinator

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A State Registered Nurse
•   A minimum of five (5) years relevant working experience
•   Have a valid PIN from NMC

•   Must have very good interpersonal skills
•   Must have knowledge in the use of computers
•   Ability to work with community based organization
•   Must be a team player
•   Have d dependable character

•   Must be able to work with little supervision
•   Ability to work for long hours and under pressure
