Description Of Job
Duties:
To ensure that Laws, Regulations and standards are complied with through Permitting and Inspections procedures in the Mineral Sector with the aim to reducing dangers, disturbing effects and nuisance of mining activities to acceptable levels and to prevent wasteful mining and treatment practices to ensure judicious exploitation of mineral resources
Qualification Required & Experience
The prospective candidate must:
• Be a Ghanaian citizen of at least thirty (30) years of age;
• Possess a degree or its equivalent qualification in Mining Engineering from a recognised University or Institution:
• Have not less than eight (8) years post qualification mining experience;
• Have considerable experience in Mining Operations and knowledge of the various problems involving the health and safety of employees in Underground and/or Surface Mines, and in the upgrading, Processing, Milling and of the various minerals mined or produced within Ghana;
• Hold a Mine Captain's Certificate of competency
