A reputable Business Association seeks a suitably qualified and results-oriented individual for the position of: Head of Research and Policy

Main Duties and Responsibilities

•   Conduct industry study, sector analysis and surveys
•   Develop, plan, implement and monitor advocacy strategy for the association
•   Conduct economic studies and analysis of macro-economic policies to guide the association's policy dialogue and advocacy
•   Preparation of position papers on government policies and other related issues, memoranda and presentations
•   Conduct market, competitive and business intelligence research for both the association and clients, including periodic review of the Ghanaian and world economies and outlook
•   Gather and maintain trade and investment database
•   Preparation of project proposals for the association and member firms
•   Keep database of members to ensure information on members are readily available
•   Represent the association at the local and international levels

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Postgraduate Degree in Economics from a recognized University
•   A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in a similar position

Capabilities and Skills

•   Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing high quality research, policy and advocacy
•   Excellent report and proposal writing skills
•   In depth understanding of the Ghanaian private sector and government policy on private sector.
•   Be knowledgeable and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SPSS and STATA
