Job Title: Zonal Managers (Southern Sector - Based in Accra & Northern Sector - Based in Kumasi
The Zonal Manager will report directly to the General Manager, Business Development and will be responsible for managing business acquisition and sales support processes to ensure area profitability to meet business targets
Functions & Responsibilities
• Identify and open potential new markets for sales penetration
• Manage sales and sales support processes to ensure area profitability to meet business targets
• Responsible for opening and developing pay points for the smooth collection of premiums
• Manage departmental budget and develop local markets for business growth
• Provide leadership direction for the Sales function including supervision and development of the sale force
• Responsible for appraising and tracking the performance of staff of the Branches under his/her jurisdiction
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports to the General Manager, Business Development
• Manage and maintain existing customer relationships and develop new customer base relationships
Qualification Required & Experience
• The successful candidate should be have a minimum of a first degree in marketing with at least 7 years experience
• A diploma or Advanced diploma in insurance
• A chartered institute of Marketing qualification will be an added advantage
• Proven experience in managing sales operations/sales teams
• Have a valid driving license with 4 years driving experience
• Ability to lead, develop and motivate the sales and branch staff
• Ability to liaise with all levels of management staff and stakeholders
• Detail oriented, proactive and good organizational/planning skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet goals within specified deadlines
• Good judgement and analytical skills
• Possession of a high sense of integrity
• Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Power Point)
