Job Vacancy For Bilingual HR Representative At An Oil & Gas Company
Our client is an industry leader in the Oil & Gas sector doing business worldwide with operations throughout West Africa. An exciting position is now available for a HR Representative who would serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding the company's HR functions across the company's West African Operations. As the incumbent will serve staff within both Anglophone and francophone countries, fluency in French is preferred. This is position is based in Accra, Ghana.
Responsibilities include:
• Provides support to both managers and employees regarding human resource matters such as, but not limited to, employee appointment, relocation, professional development, performance evaluations, compensation and benefits.
• Maintains a strong understanding of HR/business issues with particular attention to the continuous and proactive improvement of personnel performance and motivation.
• Assists his/her Manager in the design, implementation and administration of numerous policies, procedures and programs, taking responsibility for various aspects as directed.
• Cultivates relationships with employees that ensure support through face to face interaction and feedback.
• Leads and organizes informational meetings on employment, benefits and compensation policies for company staff.
• Serves as primary contact for staff regarding employee relations, job satisfaction and motivation.
• Serves as primary contact for managers, advising and assisting them in the interpretation and implementation of HR programs and policies.
• Supports management, at all levels, in the administration of various HR tools and processes including but not limited to succession planning, rewards and recognition, career planning, performance evaluations, etc.
• Organizes and directs activities and events related to training, recruitment teambuilding and community outreach, both internally and externally.
• Assists in company hiring processes including reviewing applications and conducting candidate interviews.
• Actively assists in the development and coaching of new staff members.
• Actively promotes and participates in ongoing improvement initiatives, including the identification of needed areas of improvement in company HR policies and standards.
• Ensures observance of all privacy and security guidelines and all other relevant legislation or company policies regarding data handling.
• Employee may be assigned other duties, in addition to, or in place of those described, in accordance with Company need.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Holds University or higher Degree in a related field.
• 5+ years experience in the HR field is required.
• Must be results-driven; able to deliver quality and accuracy on time.
• Leads by example; setting the standard through compliance with all company polices.
• Protects and safeguards company values, policies, and HR principles and encourages staff to do the same.
• Able to proactively recognize, gauge and address potential issues
• Builds and maintains relationships with trust by upholding confidentiality, openness and meeting commitments in a proactive and timely manner.
