A multinational IT solutions provider seeks to recruit individuals with the requisite professional competencies and experience to fill the following role: Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

•   Establish networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation and enforcing system standards
•   Define system documentation for network designs, configurations and as built to reflect all network implementations
•   Maximizing network performance by monitoring, troubleshooting network problems and outages
•   Secure network system by defining and enforcing policies through defining and monitoring access
•   Plan and schedule routine network upgrades to ensure optimum performance at all times.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   BSc degree in Computer Engineering, information Technology or a closely related field
•   Professional certification in Cisco CCNA/CCNP
•   Certification in Prince 2 or PMBOK. at least three (3) years practical experience in similar role
•   In-depth knowledge of designing, configuring and implementing LAN/WAN/WLAN
•   Excellent skills in designing big networks based on sub-netting, IP configuration for firewall routers and switches.
•   Knowledge/understanding of software Defined Networking (SDN) and network function visualization (NFV)
•   Ability to establish efficient routing mechanisms for optimum performance
•   Ability to maximise network performance through best practice
•   Pro-active approach to decision making and problem-solving, ability to work without supervision
•   Innovative and able to learn quickly with a willingness to get involved in unfamiliar areas of technology
