Job Vacancy For Procurement Manager At Devtraco Ltd
A reputable Real Estate Development organization is inviting applications to fill the above vacancy.
To report directly to Director of Finance and directly supervises storekeepers.
Job Purpose:
To handle a wide variety of procurement and administrative duties related to estates development, maintenance, repair, operating and capital equipment purchases, contracting services and contracts administration.
Responsibilities:
• To Manage and facilitate all facets of supply management activities between division business division business units and their suppliers
• To implement sourcing strategies to support corporate and divisional objectives, providing the company competitive advantage in the areas of materials, supplies, and services
• To locate, analyze, and develop a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future materials needs of the company
• To manage suppliers, cost, quality and delivery performance
• To drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process
• To manage and optimize supplier performance, including continuous improvement, innovations, obsolescence and reduction in total cost of ownership
• To ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained
• To ensure that store items are will arranged and records kept up to date with store items binned
• To undertake periodic stock-taking to identify slow and obsolete stocks and recommend to Management on steps to take to address slow and obsolete stocks
• To perform any other duties that may be assigned from time-to-time
Minimum Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management or its equivalent plus 3 years working experience in relevant environment
• HND in Purchasing & Supplies plus 5 years working experience in relevant environment
• Membership of a professional body such as Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply, MCIPS (UK) etc. would be an added advantage
Technical Skills/Knowledge:
• Knowledge of procurement methods and procedures of a large scale centralised purchasing function including buying, quality assurance, contract administration and contract law
• Outstanding interpersonal, cross cultural skills
• Ability to work under stress and little or no supervision
• Computer literate and proficient in standard office computer applications
Managerial Skills/Knowledge:
• Ability to interpret and make decisions in accordance with rules, regulations, and policies governing the purchase and contracting of materials and services for the company
• Ability to keep records and prepare reports
