Description Of Job
This technical position reports to the Health Systems Advisor and works with the Health Systems unit in-country to provide technical expertise in developing training curricula and tools; build training, service delivery improvement and scale up capacity; provide technical assistance for projects and communicate and disseminate Ipas's training, service delivery improvement, scale up and related approaches.
He/She will spend approximately 50% of his/her time for travel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supports assigned country Health Systems resources as needed; provide technical assistance in accordance with country or project work plan
• Help plan and support training for health care staff
• Provide supportive supervision and other technical support (communication, training, equipping and IEC materials) to service delivery sites to ensure provision of high quality care and increased utilization of services
• Work with appropriate staff to develop and write reports, studies, and presentations related to Ipas Health Systems improvement efforts; country research and evaluation efforts; including information for donor documents
The duty station for position is Accra, Ghana, and the offer will be on a one/two years renewable contract basis, subject to good performance and availability of funds. Remuneration will be based on qualification and experience, commensurate with industry standards
Qualification Required & Experience
• A Bachelor's degree in a health-related field (including BSc. Nursing); an advanced degree in the relevant discipline (MBCHB/MD) will be preferred;
• 4+ years relevant experience;
• Demonstrated leadership and technical skills in areas of responsibility;
• Strong communications and writing skills;
• Demonstrated computer experience;
• Demonstrated cross-cultural/language skills
