Job Vacancy For Bi-Lingual (French/English) Grants Assistant At Agribusiness & Trade Promotion (ATP)



The Agribusiness & Trade Promotion (ATP) and Expanded Agribusiness & Trade Promotion (E-ATP) are projects funded by the U.S. Government through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/West Africa. Their purpose is to increase the value and volume of intra-regional trade in West African staple food commodities, as a way of improving the quality and availability of food, reducing poverty by raising household incomes and enhancing economic opportunities in the region.

Description Of Job

The projects are seeking a qualified and very experienced individuals as a Bi-Lingual (French/English) Grants Assistant for the remaining project period (Sept. 2012 - Feb. 2013)

Responsibilities:

•  Review all financial documentation from grantees to ensure it is correct and in accordance with E-ATP, ATP and USAID regulations
•  Scan/Photocopy all documents and place in electronic grants fields
•  Liaise with Technical Staff concerning grant needs
•  Assist grant manager in communicating with grantees
•  Audit all grantee files (electronic and hard copy) to ensure appropriate documentation
•  Respond to requests from Abt Associates Headquarters in Bethesda MD
•  Establish strong tracking systems for grants monitoring
•  Liaise with Project Communications staff to highlight work of grantees
•  Perform other duties as assigned by the Grants Manager

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Expertise in MS Office, Word and Excel
•  Oral and written fluency in English and French
•  Experience on USAID-funded project
•  Degree in Business Administration or Finance
•  Valid Passport and ability to travel within the sub-region
