The Council of the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani, announces the Search for a dynamic person with proven academic abilities to be appointed as DEAN to the University's SCHOOL OF ENERGY AND ENGINEERING.

The Position:

The Dean is the Head of the School of Energy and Engineering and responsible to the Vice-Chancellor, for providing leadership to the School and also assisting the University to achieve its mandate as a Centre of Excellence in Energy Engineering, Science and Natural Resources.

Terms of Appointment:

•  The Appointment, which is full-time, shall be for THREE YEARS in the first instance and may be subject to renewal for another three (3) years. The candidate may opt to become a member of the Faculty after serving the full term of six (6) years before attaining the compulsory retiring age of 60
•  Salary and fringe benefits attached to the post are attractive

Qualification Required & Experience

The Person:

•  Must be of a professional status or equivalent grade in an analogous institution
•  Must be a distinguished scholar with a PhD in either Energy or Electrical or Mechanical or Chemical, Computer, or Environmental Engineering
•  Must be visionary, innovative, and abreast with e-learning techniques
•  Must have initiative and capacity to direct and motivate staff
•  Must be of good character, highly disciplined and a team player
•  Must be able to attract grants and funds for research and development activities of the School
•  Must possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills
•  Must be able to serve a full THREE-YEAR Term of office before attaining the compulsory retiring age of sixty (60)
