World Vision Ghana (WVG) is looking for a highly qualified, proactive, motivated and resourceful persons to fill the above position.

Job Summary:
To provide technical support and advice to ADPs and the National office, on health, nutrition and HIV/AIDS program strategy, design, redesign, monitoring and evaluation and government and donor coordination; in order to achieve the overall WVG National strategy and to ensure sustainable transformational development as per approved policies, systems, procedures and donor requirements.
Major Responsibilities:
• Provide technical inputs for an integrated implementation approach of health, nutrition, and HIV/AIDS promoting incorporation of these areas in the projects & programs implemented by WV Ghana
• Identify training needs arising from strategic and local agendas, develop and deliver appropriate health, nutrition, HIV/AIDS relevant trainings for WV staff and community volunteers
• Assist in the preparation of national level strategies design and redesign of new projects ensuring that interventions are addressing maternal and child health needs, especially towards improving child well-being outcomes
• Support project and program managers in the design and redesign of new projects ensuring that interventions are addressing maternal and child health needs, especially towards improving child well-being outcomes
• Ensure that projects/programs adhere to WV partnership, MOH, and funding agencies reporting requirements on health, nutrition, and HIV/AIDS
• Work with the P&C department in issues related to health promotion among WV staff, carrying out activities that expose WV staff to new developments in health, nutrition and HIV/AIDS as well as spreading health and HIV/AIDS messages in the workplace
• Network with other NGO and Government representatives to broaden public understanding of WV Ghana high quality work and capacity while seeking to learn information and share approaches with other NGO staff and donor representatives
Qualification Required & Experience
Person Specification:
• Minimum Educational level required: Holds a degree in Community/Public Health or related field with a strong health background. Masters Degree in Public health or medical degree is preferred.
• 3-5 years experience with health programs in a comparable organization
• Strong management, and capacity building skills needed
• Experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing
• Enthusiastic and self-motivating. Must have an interest in health and well-being
• Ability to work independently and work under pressure
• Ability to use initiative and adopt a proactive approach
