Job Description
• Responsible for the secretariat communication and all public relations within the secretariat. Builds and sustains the Anglican Church good reputation.
Primary responsibilities shall include:
• Plan strategies for the implementation and monitoring of the Anglican Church of Ghana strategic plan activities related to corporate affairs and communication.
• Participate in developing the national Church communication policy
• Facilitate the use of common branding for all Anglican Churches in Ghana
• Manage the Church's reputation
• Develop, deliver, and drive the secretariat communication strategies and message development and announcements.
• Liaise with others for crisis management.
• Set up a corporate communications department at all levels
• Create functional web portal at all levels and update content regularly.
• Create an authoritative social presence via social media
• Determines communications strategy and execute programs to deliver communications objectives throughout the Dioceses.
• Manage media relations and maximize media opportunities.
• Develop strong relationships with media houses
• Develop publications such as newsletters, releases, almanac, magazines, calendars, video etc.
• Do other jobs as and when the secretariat deems fit in the interest of the church
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in communication/journalism with three years working related experience not including national service
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Must have initiative and drive
• Capable of working independently with minimum supervision
• Must possess management, planning, budgeting,financial monitoring and report writing skills
• Age limit: 35 years and above
