Description Of Job
Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno) is seeking candidates for Deputy Chief of Party for an anticipated program in Ghana designed to facilitate investment in the agriculture sector.
The program will support private investments important to modernization of the rice, maize, and soya value chains for the benefit of rural entrepreneurs and smallholder producers, and address access to finance constraints. Ghanaian nationals encouraged to apply.
Qualification Required & Experience
• 10 + years of progressively responsible management experience working on donor-funded (preferably USAID) agricultural and/or financial sector projects.
• Must have experience developing investment opportunities in the agricultural sector (preferably in Northern Ghana). Agriculture experience with maize, soya and rice ideal
• Experience working in the financial sector in Ghana
• Demonstrated excellent managerial and supervisory skills, and ability to ensure financial and administrative efficiency
• Familiarity with USAID rules and regulations
• Experience working collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders, including business enterprises, associations, financial institutions, government, and local organizations
• English language fluency required
• Ghanaian nationals preferred.
