Ofie newspaper is a new monthly newspaper in the market that explores political, business, religious, cultural and social issues of the Akuapem people. Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates to join our team as: Marketing Officers/Vendors.

Marketing Officer Responsibilities:

•  To plan and carry out direct marketing and advertising sales activities for advertising space in the newspaper to corporate entities.
•  Maintain and develop a computerized customer and prospect database.
•  SELL ADVERTISING SPACE IN THE NEWSPAPER.
•  Assist in selling subscriptions of the magazine to institutional and individual clients.
•  Respond to and follow up advertising enquiries by email, telephone and personal visits.
•  Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support.
•  Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.

This position is to be based in Akuapem and remuneration will be on a commission basis + monthly allowance.

Vendors Responsibilities:

•  Sell the company’s product – Ofie newspaper in the Akuapem, Accra, Koforidua, Somanya, etc.

Remuneration will be 30% of sales.

Qualification Required & Experience

Marketing Requirements:

•  At least a HND or DBS marketing certificate holder
•  Self-driven, results-oriented person with a positive outlook.
•  Excellent face-to-face & telephone communicator.
•  Mature attitude & be comfortable in dealing with senior company executives.
•  Must be able to work with little or no direct supervision.
•  Must work well both individually and as part of a team.
•  Experience in advertising sales and proficiency in computer applications is a must.

Vendor Requirements:

•  Potential vendors should be at least 18 years and also exhibit an undying zeal to sell companies product.
