Our company, formed by nationals and international group of investors committed to operate and maintain power plants sustaining high standards of environmental control, safety and reliability, is seeking for a power plant project in Kpone-Tema area, to recruit individuals that wants to grow professionally and with the requisites qualifications and experience for the following position: Control Room Operators

Summary Job Responsibilities:

•   Adhere to plant operational policies and procedures for production goal achievement and handle work safely.
•   Input operational system status with applicable journals and control system tools
•   Function as plant operation to calibrate and troubleshoot automation, power and building interface systems.
•   Gain awareness of system operating requirements and trends and suggest operating adjustment suggestions
•   Manage electrical and mechanical equipment and facilities with the competency of an experienced plant operator.
•   Identify, analyse and instruct field operators on activities required in case of activation of electrical, mechanical and instrument process protections.
•   Conduct emergency operations for electric service and protecting station equipment
•   Direct field operator and Chemist and auxiliary technicians for effecting changes in plant conditions
•   Oversee control desk consisting of 6/8 HMI computer screens
•   Reply to production fllor requests and machine stoppage alerts
•   Oversee production and process key metrics for operating plant equipment within parameters
•   Assess machine logs and support process engineer to troubleshoot
•   Handle equipment maintenance and tag out as per standard operating procedures, perform in deep risk analysis on maintenance activities, especially if plant is in service.
•   Ensure timeliness, completeness and administrative requirements accuracy
•   Submit internal work orders for equipment failures
•   Receive and reply to calls on organisations and agencies.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   HND or Undergraduate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with (3) three or more years of experience in the field and (2) or more years of experience as control room operator
•   Reports to shift supervisor
