Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the following roles and responsibilities:
• Develop pensions policies and benefits packages
• Review, discuss and agree on fund strategy and structure with the company board, investment managers and other service providers
• Ensure that schemes operate effectively and meet performance and customer care targets as well as comply with industry standards
• Keep up to date with current statutory regulations and monitor changes in the legal situation for pensions providers and developments in pension provision in order to ensure the optimum performance of the fund
• Supervise the overall administration of pension schemes
• Provide update reports to board of trustees, clients and the regulator
• Deal with complex pension claims
• Monitor pension scheme performance and prepare relevant reports
• Contribute to annual and other financial reports
• Make recommendations to improve the scheme in response to member feedback and scheme performance
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of a master's degree in a relevant field with not less than 7 years of relevant experience in a similar senior management position
• Good understanding of investment and pensions scheme management
• Must be highly analytical with a working knowledge of excel
• Must have excellent communication skills and be a team player
