Job Description

•   The Volunteer Supervisor shall be responsible in managing the Health program volunteers, evaluate and monitor their field activities, provide guidance, resources and logistics to Volunteers.

His / her primary responsibilities shall include:

•   Prepare and present Volunteers work plans and their implementation strategies on the health program
•   Prepare timely reports on the program and the contribution of volunteers to the program and the organization to the regional health Coordinator.
•   Raise staff awareness of the roles and the functions of volunteers;
•   Initiate plans, coordinate and monitor program implementation
•   Assist in the recruitment of volunteers with the right skills
•   Orientate volunteers to increase their understanding of the program, its beneficiaries, its services and their roles and responsibilities
•   Ensure that volunteers are given appropriate training and motivation to contribute effectively to the success of the program
•   Liaise and build partnership with governmental and non-governmental organizations in the operational areas
•   Do other jobs as and when management deems it fit in the interest of the  organization.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A good first degree (BA) in any of the social sciences from a recognized University with at least three (3) years working experience not including national service.
•   Should possess good management skills and knowledge related to volunteerism
•   Good leadership skills.
•   Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•   Ability to organize, plan, and carry out activities independently to meet deadlines
•   Proven ability to foster teamwork
•   Should possess excellent analytical, evaluation, monitoring and report writing skills.
•   Must have proactive attitude: willingness and ability to take initiative
•   Ability to motivate volunteers to achieve desired program results.
•   Establish and maintain positive working relationships with collaborators both internally and externally to achieve the objectives of the program
•   Age limit (28 years and above)
