A new life insurance company in Accra has vacancy for the following senior position: Chief Operations Officer (Code: COO/02)

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

•   Initiate the development of life, pensions, and investments products & policies and supervise the technical operations of the company
•   Provide technical advice to management and the board of directors on all aspects of life insurance
•   Advise management and the board on measures to put in to manage surrenders and claims
•   Ensure regular revision of policies and clauses in policy documents in line with statutes

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of first degree in Insurance, Marketing, Actuarial Science, Finance or Social Science plus the Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) Diploma or a recognizes professional insurance qualification
•   A minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience in the insurance industry, at least five (5) years of which should have been in a managerial or analogous position
•   High level of integrity, good sense of judgement, good interpersonal and communication skills and knowledge or relevant laws relating to insurance are required
