We are currently seeking applications from suitable candidates for a multi-year USAID-funded project for the following position: Drivers

Responsibilities

•   Reads and interprets maps and driving direction to plan the most efficient route
•   Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on trip sheets, customer transportation forms, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports as per ACDI/VOCA policies and procedures.
•   Coordinates the schedule for major or periodic vehicle maintenance with management and staff to minimize service interruptions
•   Operate assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner
•   As required, carry out general backstopping including answering phones

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving history
•   Certificate in defensive driving and knowledge of first aid are an added advantage
•   Minimum of 5 years of experience as a driver, preferably for an international organization
•   Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and repair
•   Good oral and written communication skills
•   Conversant with the road network and traffic regulations of Ghana
•   Willingness to travel on a regular basis within project target areas and on short notice.
