A reputable pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in the Eastern Region requires the services of a suitably qualified person for the position of: Accountant

Job Functions

Under the supervision of the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will have the responsibility to:

•   Prepare draft Periodic Trial Balance and Financial Statements
•   Supervise the preparation of Bank Reconciliation for all accounts operated by the company
•   Supervise the preparation of salaries and wages (Payroll)
•   Prepare Draft Annual Budgets and report on all variances
•   Participate in periodic stocktaking
•   any other duty that may be assigned
•   Possess knowledge of Accounting Standards and Procedures and associated Laws, Rules and Regulations
•   Possess Computer skills in MS, Office, Accounting software and Database Administration
•   Supervise delegated activities of the Accounts Department

Qualification Required & Experience

•   B.Com or BSc Adm. (Accounting Option) plus level two of ICAG, ACCA or CIMA. Masters in Business Administration or any related field could be an added advantage
•   A minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
