Responsibilities:
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

•  Construct, assemble, maintain and repair stationery steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries
•  Align structures or plate sections to assemble boiler frame tanks or vats, following blueprints
•  Working on drawings
•  Material analysis by monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environments, to detect or assess problems
•  Fabricator/Maker
•  Assist in testing assembled vessels
•  Direct cleaning of boilers and boiler furnaces
•  Inspect and repair boiler fittings, such as safety valves, regulators, automatic-control mechanisms, water columns, and auxiliary machines

Qualification Required & Experience

Relevant qualification, certificates and experience as cable rack installer on projects in the mining and construction industry

Competency Profile:

•  Boilermaker Trade test certificate and/or 3-5 yrs industry specific experience
•  Background in the electrical contracting industry will be an added advantage

Work Experience:

•  Must have cable rack installation experience on construction projects
•  4-5 yrs stick (arc) welding experience on plate/structural
•  Knowledge of safety working procedures

Technical skills:

•  Welding and measuring
•  Erecting
•  Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

•  Punctual, reliable and have sober habits
•  Strong physical and mental ability essential
