A Multi-National Gold Mining company operating in Ghana is looking for Ghanaian nationals with the requisite qualifications to apply for the following position: Jumbo Trainer / Operator

Duties & Responsibilities

•   Operate Jumbo drilling rigs for mine development and install ground support according to quality specifications safely and efficiently
•   Mark up faces, install ground support systems and cable bolts in accordance to the geotechnical plans, statutory and survey specifications
•   Comply with all applicable mine safe work procedures / safe operating procedures
•   Participate in all applicable safety, prestart and shift team meetings
•   Perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned by your supervisor

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Must possess at least MSLC/SHS Certificate or its equivalent from a recognised institution
•   Must have a minimum of 5 years work experience in underground mining operations
•   Must have detailed knowledge in the operation of large jumbos either single or multi-boom, experience with tamrock 2009 Axera Twin Boom Jumbos
•   Must be able to read and understand designed ground support plans, detailed survey prints and layouts
•   Holder of Mine rescue and valid first aid certificates will be an added advantage
•   Must have thorough understanding of underground mining operations, and solid safety performance at the personal and professiona level
•   Must possess a valid Ghanaian Driver's License with defensive driving skills
