A leading financial institution located in the Central Region is seeking to recruit an efficient and effective candidate for the position of an Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the coordination and supervision of the accounting department
• Maintains all daily cash transactions
• Operates the Cash Ledger
• Maintains all General Ledger Transactions
• Prepares periodically members statement of account and submit same to members on request
• Prepares the financial and statistical reports, under the supervision of the Manager at the end of every month
• Prepares the final accounts and the budget under the supervision of the Manager at the end of every financial year (by the 2nd week of ensuring financial year)
• Caries out any other lawful duties that may be assigned by the Manager

Qualification Required & Experience

• A University Degree in appropriate field, B.Com (Accounting Option), Social Sciences (Accounting Option), BSc Administration (Accounting Option)
• At least Part Two (II) of ACCA or ICAG
• Master's Degree in the field of Accounting will be an advantage

Additional Qualification

• Proficiency in MS Computing and fluency in English
