Job Vacancy For Credit Controllers (2 Positions)



Our client is a dynamic international logistics company seeking to recruit competent, committed, driven and enthusiatic professionals to join their energetic finane team in the capacities of a Credit Controllers (2 Positions).

Job Summary

The primary function of the Credit Controller will be to coordinate the debts of existing creditors and ultimately managing all monies owed to the company

Key Functions

• Liaising closely with Marketing and Sales Department to ensure credit issues are resolved smoothly
• Checking customers credit situation and instituting the terms and conditions of the receivable and payable balance
• Dealing with internal queries about payments, ensuring customers pay on time and negotiating repayment plans
• Assist in the setting up of the credit control system
• Meet cash and debtor day targets set by the company and following up on overdue invoices within agreed time scales accurate advice on billing queries
• Regularly make contact with customers to ensure all relevant debts are managed as necessary
• Identify changes in payment patterns and propose actions to avert issues
• Handle disputed invoices and negotiate to bring payment within general terms
• Respond promptly and completely to both internal and external client enquiries
• Propose write off of irrevocable receivable receivables and undertake accounts reconciliation as required
• Provide ad-hoc reporting as and when request by management
• Send out monthly client statements/letters as may be agreed periodically
• Develop the credit management capability within practice
• Other duties as delegated from time to time by the Managing Director or Chief Accountant or any other person designated in their absence

Qualification Required & Experience

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance or any related business subject
• Between two 3 to 4 years relevant experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge of business financial systems relevant software and MS office suite with emphasis on Excel

• Good organization skills, keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• The ability to work under pressure to meet expected deadlines with sound decision-making capabilities
• The ability to work cohesively within a team as well as independently
• The successful candidate must be a strong, influential, results oriented professional who can develop and manage relationships across the company and with a wide variety of partners based on trust, teamwork and knowledge
